It's really been a very very long time since I didn't had the time to write anything on that blog. So much has happened in those few years... In fact I had to sell my whole collection and finally became a vintage toys professional dealer, which is cool but when I have to sell pre-war models...
The first one I decided to keep is this 24c Town sedan, it had never been my favourite in the 24 series, but in France, as it hasn't been manufactured, it always have a kind of particular aura. The reference 24c didn't exist before the war, it became the Citroën DS19 one in 1956 as 24C (lowercase letters being associated with pre-war models), Therefore, it has always been an expensive model and I had hardly seen a copy in that condition.
The Royal blue colour is one that I fancy the most and then wondered what should I do for a few minutes, and decided to keep it.
It's an interesting version, it has the later third type grille refered as "Bentley", presumly launched in the meantime as the 36 series, second type casting and chassis, the whole being fitted with black smooth hubs.
I've been looking for something that could match town blue and coupé bue eventually didn't suceed, then I'm offering a pure slice of early forties boogie woogie by the boy genius Sugar Chile Robinson
To be continued...
