Carter Paterson covered wagon

I got both at the same period last autumn. First the black hubs one which I acquired from an eighty years old english boy on the  internet. This used to be one of the best pieces of his collection. And... indeed, it's a very nice one, really fresh with hardly minor scuffs. The decals are intact and despite a part of the hook missing and a small crack at the cabin, it's free of any fatigue...

Founded in 1860, Carter Paterson was road haulage company. In 1933 the big four railway companies LMS, GWR, LNER & SR which all had a Dinky mechanical horse at their names, purchased control of the company in equal shares. so that the name is often associated with railways.

Carter Paterson's head office was at 128 Goswell rd. London EC1. The company was nationalized on January 1st 1948 and absorbed by the BTC.

The second one with the blue hubs came a few weeks after, the hooks is missing also, funny uh ?
It has a crack on the bonnet and the tilt is not as good as the other one but they go together well !
